Comments Off

Oriental Furniture, in consultation with the CPSC, is the latest company to announce a voluntary recall of Roman Shades and Roll-Up Blinds.

"Strangulations can occur when a child places his/her neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the blind or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around his/her neck."

To date, there have been reports of injury/incidents reported in connection with this recall.

The recall involves ALL styles and sizes of Roman shades and roll-up blinds sold by Oriental Furniture. They were sold on their Website [www.OrientalFurniture.com], Amazon.com and Overstock.com from March through December 2009.

Consumers should not use these recalled products and contact the Window Covering Safety Council for a free repair kit at (800) 506-4636 or visit www.windowcoverings.org.
